With dual Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and Financial Engineering from France, including a year-long exchange program in the USA, she brings a unique skill set to her role.

Van Anh’s expertise lies in providing counselling and psychotherapy for adolescents and young adults dealing with various challenges, including childhood trauma, identity crisis, anxiety, depression, grief, attachment issues, socio-emotional and interpersonal difficulties. Her other clinical interests include personality disorders, such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Histrionic Personality Disorder. Drawing on her experience with NGOs, she has worked with underprivileged populations, addressing issues like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), addictions, mood disorders, and emotional dysregulation, with a focus on marginalized groups such as LGBT populations, sex workers, and HIV-positive individuals.

Having personal experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) within her family, coupled with her postgraduate study on children with ASD, Van Anh is well-versed in counselling and providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents with ASD. She collaborates with specialists from various fields, including doctors, educators, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.

Driven by a passion for cultural exploration, Van Anh actively seeks out diverse experiences, fostering a deep understanding and empathy for various perspectives. In her therapeutic practice, she adheres to a concise, solution-oriented, humanistic, and person-centered approach, guiding clients to identify suitable solutions aligned with their backgrounds and life circumstances.

Her goal is to empower individuals to achieve their best selves and uncover the meaning in their lives. Understanding that each person’s struggles are unique, Van Anh customizes an appropriate treatment plan for each client by drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mentalization, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Jungian-inspired approaches such as Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Hypnotherapy, for clients with limited verbal expression.

Van Anh is proficient in conducting psychological assessments, specialising in assessments for children and adolescents (e.g., WISC-V, NEMI), and projective tests (Rorschach inkblot test, TAT). Her expertise extends to assessments for adults (e.g., WAIS-IV, WMS, MMPI), and diagnostic assessments for ASD, such as CARS, Vineland, CHAT, ADOS and ADIR to facilitate placements for special education, and accommodations for the classroom and examinations.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Van Anh engages in social work, practices yoga, explores breathwork, and delves into esoteric studies during her leisure time.
